In this article, it provides several purposes such as a broad overview about RTI, the importance of RTI, how schools could improve their intervention programs, and what are the assessment and skills for implement for implementing for teachers, administrators, parents, and other related services personnel.
RTI is a program that schools and teachers can use to help students who need to improve academically and behaviorally especially reading problem There are assessment activities which are systematic assessment and formative assessment such as screening assessment, monitoring progress assessment, and Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM) assessment
I think I could you screening assessment and .monitoring progress assessment. For screening assessment, because it is one of the efficient measurements and I can catch up and observe the student’s problems quickly and critically, I can identify the student’s level. For progress monitoring assessment, it is an easy way to determine whether the student needs help or not. I just need to collect, evaluate, and analyze the student’s abilities and find out the problems.
To conclude, as this article says, tiered system and will be the important for me to use those assessments and skills. I also keep in mind that master basic academic skill is important for grading students’ levels.
